How to use these currency-pair pages

Start with the two currencies in the pair. The first is the base currency and the second is the quote currency. Each research page compares their selected central-bank benchmarks, shows the signed rate gap and links to the underlying policy sources. A positive gap means the base benchmark is higher; it does not mean the base currency will rise.

The economic comparison charts add inflation, unemployment and real GDP context. Check each observation date and reporting frequency before comparing values. A monthly inflation release and a quarterly growth release describe different periods, and historical observations can be revised.

Use the decision calendar to identify the next scheduled announcements and the central-bank pages to read the relevant publications. Our interest-rate divergence guide explains the basic calculation and its limitations.
